This is a Door Post

Sometimes I drive to other neighborhoods to run so I can look at their houses. I realize this is sort of creepy and you can bet if I saw a stranger straining his/her neck to look at houses on my street while s/he ran, I'd be alerting the Neighborhood Watch. Creepy me aside, I get ideas for painting and landscaping and I peer into open windows (from the street, give me some credit!) imagining what I'd do to their living rooms if they'd let me get my hands on them. On one of these runs this week, I came across this door and fell in love. I have had a few conversations recently about front door colors. It is easy to go blah or brightly bad when it comes to selecting door paint. I grew up with a red door and red doors will always hold a special place in my heart but I love this sea blue color right now. It's crisp and refreshing with a touch of chic, just like me. (Alert your Neighborhood Watch).

So try it! This is a super easy and cheap weekend project. Grab a great color (even this one!) and update your house. I mean, what's the worst that can happen? So you have a purple door until you can repaint it next weekend. And if you do decide on purple, please DO repaint next weekend.
