Bright Foyer

I am so thrilled to share today's foyer transformation. This is the first in a series for this amazing house (stay tuned for more!) - so I thought we'd go right through the front door and begin in the foyer. Here's how I discovered the space:

To brighten up the space, everything was painted white. The shiplap was added to add architectural interest to an otherwise standard foyer. An antique rug anchors the space, and a new runner was added to the entire length of the stairs.

The console table was constructed from a falling, dying tree in New York. It's organic twists and turns contrast with the lines of the shiplap. The custom painting was done by Lucy Reiser, hailing from North Carolina. We worked with the Anne Irwin Fine Art Gallery and they were absolutely wonderful to work with and helped us score this amazing piece that breathes life and color into the entry.

The owner's dog, Callie, was super impressed by the space and now feels that the foyer is an appropriately styled location for her to wait for her owner to get home every day.
